FAMILY TIES

Yarn and fragment of a baby blanket intended for a future grandchild—crocheted and gifted by Scott’s mother in 2005 and unraveled by Scott (with mother’s consent) in 2022, with documented blanket pattern (to be re-crocheted by Scott).

HOROLOGIUM

Winter, 2021. SolarFast on linen exposed with garden remnants—basil, chives, sunflowers, marigolds, and virgin’s bower—and the light of the winter solstice sun in Bloomington, Illinois; a fallen branch from Constitution Trail in winter 2020; and a salvaged board from a neighbor’s old fence. Part 1 of a continued series documenting the turn of seasons.

Dried garden plant remnants hover in front of a vertically-oriented rectangle of yellow linen. The stems of the dried plants are set within and along a horizonally-oriented white, de-barked branch.
