Decoupled text from a handwritten letter left by Scott's grandmother, embroidered on antique handkerchiefs.

I would like to thank a Gentleman who helped me in June of 1965.

Here is my Story.

I married an American Soldier in Germany

and came to the USA in 1964.

My husband got orders for Vietnam in 1965

and I had to move out of Governmentquarters.

I had 3 little Girls 6 months 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old

press to zoom

and spoke very little english.

press to zoom

My InLaws let me stay with them for the year

press to zoom

but I had to fly from Detroit to Msla, MT.

press to zoom

Had to change Planes in Minneapolis and Billings.

press to zoom

The Stewardesses from Detroit to Minneapolis didn't offer any assistance at all.

There I was with 3 little Girls a Diaper bag and my Purse.

A guy sitting behind me told me to wait till the Passengers cleared out and he would help me.

He talked to a lady in the Airport (I couldn't follow the conversation

and she helped me to the Terminal and turned me over to the Stewardesses.

I got the red Carpet treatment after that.

I have never forgotten his kindness

Thank you from then a very scared 21 yr old.
